We Will Rise

Lyin’ on the cool grass on a cool night
Man I love this feelin’ starin’ at the starry sky
It carries my mind…so far from here
A place with no worries and there’s only God to fear
I know its only imaginary but can you imagine a place
Where all these people would rather give than take

Where all these walls around our hearts come tumblin’ down
And all these paths life’s lead us to
We don’t go down
We treat others as we like to be treated
And all these fears as people we have are defeated
We stand together as one
What’s said is done
That’s just the way it is…..
And we’ll make it through these hard times
And we’ll rise
We will rise……..

She lies down next to me on the cool grass
I’m too afraid to share my dreams
We all as people hold our guard up high
We all need to stop and asks ourselves why
If we all shared our dreams could we find that place
Where all these people would rather give than take

Well I don’t know why we were put here
And I don’t know why we live in fear
And I can’t tell you where we go from here
But I imagine this place as I lay here
